How to Make An Appointment
Making an appointment at Melbourne Heart Clinic for Kids (MHCK) is easy. Most often new patients can be seen within a month however if urgent you will be given an appointment within a week.
The first step to making an appointment is to obtain a referral to our Clinic.This can be from a GP or Specialist. A referral can be made via our website for ease by your GP/Specialist (this is sent directly to our Reception Team). If you have been given a hard copy referral by your Doctor this will need to be sent to our Reception team at reception@mhck.com.au or fax 9345 6580.
Once a referral is received our reception team will contact you to discuss appointment day/time options. This normally takes 24-48 hours from when the referral is received. Our clinic is open 4 days a week (not Tuesdays) from 8.30-5.00 however each of our Cardiologists have specific days in which they work. Each new appointment takes 1.5 hours (1 hour of testing and 30 mins with the Cardiologist).

- Dr Lucas Eastaugh: Friday
- Dr Remi Kowalski: Monday afternoon
- Dr Darren Hutchinson: Monday afternoon or Thursday Morning
Once an appointment date and time has been agreed to an email will be sent out confirming the details. Approximately 3 days prior to your appointment you will receive a reminder text.
Please note we are a private clinic so payment is due in full on the day. We are able to then send your Medicare claim electronically to Medicare on your behalf.
