About Michael

Michael Cheung is a Paediatric Cardiologist with subspecialty training in cardiac imaging. He trained in the UK at the University of Bristol. His subsequent training in Cardiology has been at Great Ormond St Hospital and the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, and Hospital for Sick Children Toronto, Canada.

He has been a Consultant Cardiologist since 2004 with appointments at Hospital for Sick Children Toronto and the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne. He has an honorary appointment at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he has been involved with the Adult Congenital Cardiology Clinic since 2006.

He is the Director of Cardiology at The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, Group Leader of the Heart Research Group at Murdoch Children's Research Institute and Principal Fellow of the University of Melbourne.
