Michael Cheung is a Paediatric Cardiologist with subspecialty training in cardiac imaging. He trained in the UK at the University of Bristol. His subsequent training in Cardiology has been at Great Ormond St Hospital andthe Royal Brompton Hospital, London, and Hospital for Sick Children Toronto, Canada.

He has been a Consultant Cardiologist since 2004 with appointments at Hospital for Sick Children Toronto and the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. He has an honorary appointment at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he has been involved with the Adult Congenital Cardiology Clinic since 2006.

He is the Director of Cardiology at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, Group Leader of the Heart Research Group at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute and Principal Fellow of the University of Melbourne

Associate Professor Andrew Davis trained in Paediatric Cardiology at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and then at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He undertook further training in Paediatric Electrophysiology (abnormal heart rhythms) in Toronto and subsequently at the Children’s Hospital, Boston.

Whilst overseas he completed his doctorate on high resolution ECGs in children. His research interest is the prevention of sudden death in the young.

Andrew has been a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne since 1996. He is the lead clinician of the Arrhythmia Service within The Department of Cardiology.

As well as looking after general cardiology patients Andrew’s subspecialty interests include palpitations, fainting, pacemakers, defibrillators, radiofrequency ablation and the diagnosis and management of inherited arrhythmias including long QT syndrome.

Dr Lucas Eastaugh is a Paediatric Cardiologist with subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology (diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterisation procedures in patients with congenital and structural heart disease). He is a medical graduate of Monash University, Melbourne and completed Paediatric and subspecialty Paediatric Cardiology training at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne.

He pursued advanced fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology in paediatric and young adult patients with structural and congenital heart disease at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada and Boston Children’s Hospital, Massachusetts, USA.

Lucas has been a consultant cardiologist at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne since 2012 and is the Clinical Lead in Cardiac Catheterisation and Intervention. He is also is an Honorary Cardiologist in structural Interventional Cardiology at The Royal Melbourne Hospital working with the Adult Congenital Cardiology team.

Lucas consults in all aspects of Paediatric Cardiology.

Dr Bryn Jones

Dr Bryn Jones is a Paediatric Cardiologist with subspecialty training in cardiac imaging (Echocardiography, Cardiac MRI, Fetal Cardiology). He is a medical graduate of the University of Queensland and completed Paediatric training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. He trained in Paediatric Cardiology at the Prince Charles Hospital and the Mater Children’s Hospital in Queensland.

He pursued further training at the Royal Children’s HospitalMelbourne including subspecialty training in advanced cardiac imaging. (Echocardiography and Cardiac MRI) This was followed by three years of dedicated research. He gained further experience in Cardiac MRI at the Royal Brompton Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Bryn has been a consultant cardiologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital since 2009 and is currently Deputy Director of Cardiology and Clinical Lead in Cardiac MRI.

Bryn consults in all aspects of Paediatric Cardiology.

Dr Remi Kowalski

Dr Remi Kowalski is a Paediatric Cardiologist with subspecialty interests in cardiac imaging (Echocardiography, Cardiac MRI, Vascular functional assessment). He is a medical graduate of the University of Melbourne and completed Paediatric and Paediatric Cardiology training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

He is currently completing a PhD focusing on novel non-invasive assessment of vascular function in children with congenital cardiac and vascular diseases. During his research, he spent time in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

He pursued further training in Cardiac MRI at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London in 2015.

Remi has been a consultant cardiologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital since 2011 and consults in all aspects of Paediatric Cardiology.

Dr Darren P Hutchinson

Darren Hutchinson is a Paediatric and Fetal Cardiologist trained in Melbourne, Australia. Graduate of Monash University with Fellowships in both Paediatric Cardiology and Paediatric Cardiac Imaging at The Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne.

Darren went on to complete a twelve-month sub-specialty Clinical and Research Fellowship in Fetal Cardiology at Stollery Childrens Hospital in Alberta, Canada.

Current appointments include Head of Fetal Cardiology at The Royal Womens Hospital Melbourne, Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist at both The Royal Childrens Hospital and also at Western Health.

Darren has a special interest in Fetal Cardiac Imaging and non-invasive Paediatric Cardiac Imaging and consults in all aspects of Paediatric Cardiology.
